Are you ready to put the wind back in our sails?

We’re looking for a hands-on, quick-thinking Team Leader / Lead Wind Turbine Technician to help us keep our turbines spinning at full strength.

This is more than a technician role – it’s a leadership opportunity for someone ready to take the reins, support team operations in Italy and the Netherlands, and deliver world-class service across our European fleet.

If you’re a natural leader who thrives on troubleshooting, technical problem-solving, and the satisfaction of a job well done, this could be the perfect fit.

What You’ll Be Handling Day-to-Day
Technical Responsibilities

  • Scheduled Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance (lubrication, inspections, filter changes) to ensure turbines operate at peak performance.

  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using advanced tools and diagnostics.

  • Component Replacement: Replace defective turbine components including blades, gearboxes, and electrical systems.

  • Data Logging: Maintain accurate records of turbine performance, faults, inspections, and completed work.

  • Safety Compliance: Follow all health & safety guidelines and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.

  • Remote Support: Occasionally support the Control Room with remote diagnostics and operational monitoring.

Leadership & Coordination

  • Team Leadership (Netherlands): Serve as the Team Leader for our Dutch technician team while working onsite in the Netherlands.

  • Lead Technician (Italy): Take ownership of technical coordination and support within Italy, guiding peers and ensuring local operations run smoothly.

  • Customer Interface: Act as the point of contact on site for clients, keeping them informed on status, progress, and any issues encountered.

  • Quality Oversight: Ensure quality standards are met in all technical work and verify interconnections within the system’s architecture.

  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize turbine performance based on operational data and root cause analysis.

Travel & Work Pattern

  • This is a travel-intensive role:

    • Italy & Europe: Frequent travel for onsite maintenance and support.

    • Netherlands: Regular rotation (Monday–Friday onsite + weekend on-call duty).

    • Hybrid Support Weeks: Remote technical support from home in Italy during offsite weeks.

    • Rest Periods: 2 consecutive days off following travel rotation.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Wind Turbine Technician (minimum 3–5 years).

  • Leadership experience or a natural aptitude for guiding and motivating teams.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to a dynamic work schedule.

  • Fluent in English; Italian or Dutch is a plus.

  • Valid driver’s license and working at height certifications (preferred).
